Indycar practice results from Thursday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

The Thursday practice session in Indianapolis lasted 6 and half hours. In the end, Scott Dixon sat at the top of the board.
Dixon turned a time of 39.8050 with an average speed of 226.102.
There was an incident with about 45 minutes remaining in the session. Fernando Alonso clipped the inside curb in turn four. He then ran wide off the corner and clipped the outside wall before the car was sent sliding backwards to the pit entry. Alonso was checked and released after the incident.
