Tonight, the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series returns to your television screen. The mini-series will drop the green flag at the digital version of Talladega Superspeedway.
The first race on the Bristol Dirt Track brought in 292,000 viewers.
Kevin Harvick did not compete in the previous event but he’ll be in the show tonight. With him, 8-year-old tiny racer Keelan Harvick, son of Kevin Harvick will be joining the NASCAR Cup Series driver in the digital world.
“For me, this is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity, to race against Keelan in an actual race on an actual platform that only iRacing could present to the two of us,” Kevin Harvick announced via social media.
Harvick added, “It really shows that NASCAR is a great family sport. Looking forward to passing on my racing from one generation to the next.”
Kurt Busch and Chase Briscoe were running a tire test at Nashville Speedway and were set to miss the event. However, the test was concluded early and Chase Briscoe announced he will be competing in the iRacing event.
Additionally, both Clint Bowyer and Dale Earnhardt Jr will be coming out of retirement to race in the digital world.
Ryan Preece has run every race this season. However, he doesn’t have a charter. Preece will not compete in the online race.
Last year’s iRacing Pro Invitational event at Talladega was won by Alex Bowman. 1.24 million people tuned in to watch the race during the pandemic.
