It’s just an hour and a half since they started hot laps for this portion of the event. We’re already ready for the feature.
The track is a bit rough for this second round. Some driver are bouncing through the ruts to find speed.
Scott Bloomquist hasn’t raced in six weeks. He’s on hand this weekend and he’ll start this one from the front row.

Feature – Report
Green flag, Shirley wins the race into turn one on the bottom. Bloomquist is under fire for 2nd as Ryan Gustin launches through the ruts and bicycles underneath him.
Lap 2, Bloomquist looks inside of Shirley for the lead. He can’t complete the pass.
Lap 5, Richards slides Shirley for the lead in turn three. Bloomquist follows him through to take 2nd.
Lap 10, Richards is rolling right through the rut in turn one. As he lifts the left rear off the ground, he’s pulling away.
Lap 15, Shirley pressures Bloomquist for 2nd. Bloomquist drives it hard to the bottom, lifts the rear clear off the ground, powers through the ruts, bottoms out the left rear on the rim and holds the spot.
Lap 20, slow car and the caution is out.
Green, Richards leads. Bloomquist runs wide in turn one, Shirley to 2nd.
Bloomquost fight back on the bottom to retake 2nd. Shirley slides him in turn three, near parks it in turn four and that slows them both down. Clanton has a run under them and he takes two and moves to 2nd.
Lap 27, Hudson O’Neal and Chase Junghans tangle in turn one, caution.
Green, spin in turn one, caution.
Green, Richards leads as Clanton holds 2nd.
9 to go, Sheppard is flying through the field. He’s up to 3rd and closing on Clanton.
6 to go, Richards leads Clanton by 10 car lengths.
