Report

Group A features 19 cars. It’s the slowest 19 cars from the week prior. Their order in the session is set by a random draw.

Corey LaJoie pushes into turn three and it snaps loose off turn four. He keeps it off the wall but he’s 4th of 6 so far.

Quin Houff drive it deep into turn one. He’s in too hot. Houff washes up the banking, into the dirty part of the track. He uses every inch of the track and barely brushes the wall with his right rear.

Group B

Group B features the 20 fastest cars. Their order has been set via a random draw.

With the morning qualifying session, the track is rapidly heating up. However, it’s also taking more rubber with each lap.

Joey Logano was trending to take the pole for 90% of his lap. He lost time with a wiggle off turn four.

Erik Jones gets loose off turn four and he brushes the wall! He jumps to 5th of 24.

Larson is trending in the green off turn two. He gets loose as he drives it deep into turn three and he’s 3rd of 30.

Almirola remains at the top of the board with 10 cars remaining. The track temp is up 8 degrees since Almirola ran his lap. Everyone is losing time off turn four.

Martin Truex Jr drives it deep into turn one, the car washes up the track and he’s into the dirty part of the track. Truex Jr keeps it out of the wall but his lap is over.

Moments late, Stenhouse Jr does the same thing in turn one. Heat has taken some grip out of the track.
