NASCAR race results from the Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway

Today, the NASCAR is set to take the green flag in Nashville, TN. The 1.333-mile of Nashville Superspeedway is set to host the NASCAR Cup Series for the first time via the Ally 400.

Nashville Race
Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 90 (1-90 / 300)

Ryan Blaney hits the pit lane with a possible issue. He’ll be starting the race from the tail.

Green flag, Chase Elliott pulls out of line from row two and makes it three wide for the lead in turn one. Elliott gets loose in the dirty part of the track, he runs wide as does Alex Bowman behind him. Kyle Busch leads off turn two.

Quin Houff loses a wheel behind them. He slams the wall and the caution is out.

Green, Busch and Almirola run side by side into turn one. Busch gets loose on the outside of turn two. Kyle Larson has a run and looks to the middle, three wide for the lead off turn two. Larson leads into turn three!

Lap 10, Logano and Almirola rub doors off turn two. Light contact as they battle for 3rd.

Lap 40, Kyle Busch has closed to within 3 car lengths of Larson in the battle for the lead.

Lap 45, Larson and Busch pit together under green. Kyle Busch wins the race to the pit exit.

Lap 46

Lap 46, Tyler Reddick spins on the apron while leaving the pit lane. He stalls and the caution is out in the middle of a green flag pit cycle.

Kyle Busch takes over the lead as the rest of the field pits under caution.

Green, Kyle Busch is clear into turn one. Larson battles with Logano but holds 2nd.

Lap 54, Larson enters turn one inches from the bumper of Busch. Busch gets loose and Larson drives by on the inside to take the race lead.

Lap 55, Ryan Blaney has lost brakes and he slams the wall. The caution is back out.

Green, Busch and Larson run even into turn one. Larson has the momentum on the highside off turn two, Larson leads into turn three.

Lap 64, Busch gets loose and runs up the track. Chase Elliott drives right by to take 2nd.

Lap 79

Lap 79, Justin Haley and Chris Buescher both have tire issues at the same time. They slam the wall and the caution is out.

Larson and most of the leaders hit the pit lane. Chase Elliott stays out. Larson will restart in 8th.

Green, Elliott and Busch run side by side into turn one and off turn two. Elliott clears him on the outside in turn three. Larson is slicing his way through the field behind them.

4 to go in stage one, Larson is up to 4th.

At the front, Chase Elliott wins stage one!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 95 (91-185 / 300)

Elliott and the rest of the non-pitters hit the pit lane. Larson returns to the lead.

Pit Penalty: Truex Jr has been hit will a pit entry violation. He’ll go to the tail.

Green flag on stage two, Larson gets the jump on the outside lane. Busch holds 2nd off turn two.

Lap 102, Ricky Stenhouse Jr has a run on Kyle Busch off turn four. He drives right by on the inside to take over 2nd.

Lap 133

Lap 133, Bubba Wallace loses a left rear tire and the caution is out.

Pit Penalty: Christopher Bell will go to the tail. Martin Truex Jr joins him as he goes to the tail for the 3rd time today.

Green, Larson and Busch run side by side in turn one. They remain side by side into turn three but Busch gets loose on the inside and Larson takes the lead off turn four.

Lap 141, Stenhouse Jr pulls right to the bumper of Busch off turn four. Busch gets loose and Stenhouse drives under him to take over 2nd.

Lap 159, Kyle Busch is exploring the outside lane. He drives by Hamlin to take over 3rd. Moments later, Busch gets loose and Almirola drives under him to take 3rd.

Lap 174, Cole Custer has lost a right rear tire after blowing a brake rotor and the caution is out.

Larson and the rest of the leaders hit the pit lane. Briscoe, Reddick and Dillon take just two tires.

Green, Briscoe gets the jump on the inside. Larson rolls to 2nd in a hurry as they run four wide behind them.

4 to go, Briscoe gets loose into turn one. He skates up the banking and Larson drives under him to take the lead off turn two.

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 115 (186-300 / 300)

Green flag on stage three, Larson and Byron run side by side into turn one. Larson clears him on the outside with a push from Kyle Busch. Byron holds 2nd into turn three.

Lap 193, Kyle Busch gets loose off turn four. The backend steps out and he chases it all the way up the track. Light contact with the right rear as he falls to 8th.

Lap 197, Ryan Preece blows a brake rotor and spins. The caution is out.

Green, Larson and Byron run side by side into turn one. Byron gets loose under him and chases it up the track. He nearly makes contact with Larson but saves it. Larson leads into turn three.

Lap 218, Michael McDowell looks inside of Corey LaJoie. Bubba Wallace looks inside of McDowell. Wallace doesn’t know they’re three wide, he comes up into McDowell and Wallace spins. The caution is out.

Larson leads them to the pit entry and pit exit. Harvick jumps from 6th to 2nd at pit exit. Chastain stays out.

Green, Larson clears Chastain into turn one. Three wide for 2nd off turn two, Byron takes that spot through the middle of Chastain and Harvick.

74 to go

74 to go, Chase Briscoe smacks the wall with no brakes. The caution is out.

Green, Elliott looks inside of Byron on the apron at the start/finish line. Larson clears them both into turn one.

34 to go, Larson leads Byron by 3.1 seconds. Many drivers are complaining of brake fade.

10 to go, Larson leads Byron by 5.5 seconds.

8 to go, Chastain drives right by Byron as Byron is saving fuel. Chastain to 2nd.

2 to go, Hamlin hits the pit lane as he’s out of fuel.
