They haven’t dropped the green flag in Nashville, TN for 10 years. Tonight, that drought comes to a close with the NASCAR Truck Series at Nashville Superspeedway.

William Byron is making a rare start in the NASCAR Truck Series. Ryan Preece is making his first career start in the series.

Derek Kraus and Jack Wood line up on the front row. Josh Hunter Nemechek will start toward the tail after his qualifying time was disallowed. Todd Gilliland and Tanner Gray both failed inspection and were not allowed to qualify. 150 laps of stock car racing are up next…

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 45 (1-45 / 150)

Green flag, Kraus gets the jump and leads the field into turn one on the inside. Austin Hill takes over 2nd as Wood struggles on the outside lane.

Lap 5, Nemechek started 34th, he’s up to 21st already.

Lap 20, Kraus leads Hill by 1.1 seconds.

Derek Kraus cruises to win stage one at Nashville Superspeedway!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 50 (46-95 / 150)

Kraus leads the field to the pit lane. Chandler Smith wins the race to the pit exit as Kraus exits in 6th!

Green flag on stage two, Smith leads into turn one. They run three wide for 2nd as Zane Smith gets loose off turn two. Smith defends into turn three and holds the spot.

Lap 79, William Byron slows as smoke billows from his machine. He coasts to the pit lane and his race is over. The caution is out.

The leaders stay out as most of the field hits the pit lane behind them. Enfinger is the first truck to pit from 4th, he’ll restart 13th.

Pit Penalty: Todd Gilliland clipped the orange box at pit entry. He’ll got to the back once again.

Green, Chandler Smith leads Zane Smith into turn one.

Lap 90, John Hunter Nemechek bump drafts Sheldon Creed into turn three. Creed gets sideways but saves it as Nemechek moves up to 11th.

At the front, Chandler Smith wins stage two at Nashville Superspeedway!

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 55 (96-150 / 150)

Smith leads most of the field to the pit lane. Hocevar, Kligerman and Gilliland take fuel only as win the race to the pit exit. Enfinger and Friesen stay out.

Pit Penalty: Gray has been hit with an uncontrolled tire penalty.

Green flag on stage three, Enfinger and Friesen run side by side as Hocevar tries to squeeze it between them to make it three wide. Enfinger gets loose, chases it up the banking and rubs Friesen. Friesen takes the lead!

Johnny Sauter spins behind them. The caution is back out.

Green, Friesen and Enfinger run even into turn one and off turn two. Enfinger drives it deep into turn three, he slides up the track in front of Friesen. Friesen loses the nose, lifts and Enfinger returns to the lead.

40 to go, Derek Kraus pulls up in front of Josh Berry and Kraus sends himself into the backstretch wall! Sparks fly as the frame is on the track. He heads into turn three and the truck doesn’t turn. Kraus slams the wall and the caution is out.

Green, Friesen is all over the back bumper of Enfinger into turn one. Enfinger gets sideways and Ryan Preece drives by on the outside lane!

Enfinger works to the inside of Preece off turn four. Preece forces him below the apron back at the line. Sparks fly as the side skirts smack the race track but Enfinger works inside anyway and returns to the lead in turn one.

20 to go

20 to go, Enfinger leads Preece by a truck length. Enfinger is actively adjusting his line to try and place Preece in dirty air.

16 to go, Preece dives to the inside in turn one. He gets to his fender but Enfinger holds the lead.

10 to go, Preece remains on the bumper of Enfinger. Todd Gilliland has caught both of them.

9 to go, Preece loses the nose in dirt air and Gilliland drives by to take 2nd. Gilliland gets loose in turn three and Preece takes 2nd right back. Enfinger is holding both of them up with slightly older tires.

7 to go, Preece has a run off turn two. He looks to the inside in turn three and clears him by inches off turn four. Enfinger drafts and pulls to his outside in turn one! Preece clears him once again to hold the race lead.

5 to go, Gilliland to 2nd. Preece leads by 1 second.
