The Next Gen car is a new spec chassis for the NASCAR Cup Series. Regardless of manufacture, all cars will be the same. It’s designed to drastically reduce development costs.
Before this week, the most cars we’ve seen on track at one time is just 8. The group test is the first of four major tests ahead of the 2022 debut.
