Alex Bowman takes subliminal shots at Denny Hamlin

NASCAR driver Alex Bowman continues to troll Denny Hamlin through the week

On Sunday, the fireworks went off at Martinsville Speedway. With a lot on the line, the half-mile track hosted the playoff elimination finale for the NASCAR Cup Series.

See the update on the latest drama between the two drivers below.

In the closing laps of the race, Denny Hamlin was on defense with Alex Bowman leaning on his rear bumper. With just a handful of laps to go, Bowman dove to the inside of Hamlin.

Hamlin moved high and left the inside lane open. However, Bowman wheel hopped and missed the bottom. As he chased his car up the banking, he clipped Hamlin in the left rear.

The No. 11 team was parked against the outside wall. Alex Bowman went on to grab the victory, his 4th of the season.

HACK comments

After the checkered flag, Hamlin found Bowman on the front stretch. The FedEx driver lined up nose to nose with Bowman and stepped on the gas, doing burnouts while parked on his nose.

Hamlin then let go of the steering wheel and gave Bowman a double middle finger as they sat parked nose to nose. NASCAR fans tossed things from the grandstands.

After the race, Hamlin called Bowman a “Hack”, multiple times.

“He’s just a hack,” Hamlin said of Bowman after the race. “An absolute hack. He gets his ass-kicked by his teammates, every week. He’s fucking terrible, he’s just terrible.”

Later in the week, both team owners commented on the altercation. Rick Hendrick specifically addressed Hamlin calling Bowman a hack.

Alex Bowman trolls Hamlin’s comments

Within hours of the win, Alex Bowman’s web store listed shirts with ‘HACK’ across the front of the shirt. The move brilliantly embraced the ‘HACK’ label. It’s similar to what teammate Chase Elliott did when he listed ‘Merry off season’ shirts

Since, the trolling and subliminal shots have continued…

On Tuesday, Bowman posted a photo of him installing the latest win sticker to his machine. The win stickers show the number of wins for each driver, the line across the top of the door.

In the video, it also shows the name above the door. In this case, the name has been changed to HACK Bowman. It appears Bowman’s car will run that name above the door this weekend.

On Wednesday, Bowman tweeted an updated view of his new shirt. This one showed a behind the scenes view with the number of pre-orders for the shirt. The shirt has been order 2,311 times.

If you didn’t catch that, Hamlin is the co-owner of 23XI Racing. The team is pronounced, twenty-three eleven racing.

Bowman tweeted out the pre-order details stating, “Man this is wild!”

Phoenix Raceway is set to host the championship finale for the 2021 NASCAR season. Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott and Martin Truex Jr are the four drivers in a championship battle.
