Qualifying Report
Sage Karam is the 7th car on the track. This is his first qualifying attempt on an oval. He gets completely sideways off turn two but he’s able to keep it out of the wall. Karam is 4th so far.
20 cars have set a time. Sheldon Creed currently sits at the top of the board with a 27.648.
David Starr is having an issue on the pit lane as the car won’t start. NASCAR pushes them aside and gives them a few minutes in an attempt to get it fired.
AJ Allmendinger is the 24th car on the track and the first of the playoff drivers. He jumps to 2nd on the board.
Brandon Jones is the 28th car on the track and he jumps to the top of the board.
Austin Cindric is the next car out, the second playoff driver. Cindric lands P1 so far.
Harrison Burton had pre-qualifying inspection issues. He rolls to the track, and coasts a full lap. It’s a formality as he’ll start at the back regardless.
Noah Gragson is the 38th car to qualify and the 3rd of the 4 playoff drivers. He runs wide off turn two on his first lap. He pulls it together on lap two and jumps to 5th.
Daniel Hemric is the 40th car on the track and the final of the playoff drivers. Hemric is loose off turn four but he jumps to 4th.
