The session went on for most of the day. We saw practice restarts and pack racing along the way.
The tires of the NASCAR Next Gen are much wider and the downforce is much higher. And many drivers have discussed that it’s hard to save the car once it begins to spin.
Roughly 3 hours before the end of the session, Reddick spun in turn four. He stepped on the gas to keep the car from backing into the fence. He was successful in achieving that.
However, Reddick then slammed the barrels that sit at the edge of the pit wall. He made T-Bone style contact with the barriers and the sand flew into the air.
“Hate it for the team,” Tyler Reddick stated via twitter.
He added, “The steering is a little off to the right from the contact. Other than that, the damage is all body. We will take our time to fix the car and make the adjustments we were planning on for Friday.”
