Multiple crew members ejected from Texas Motor Speedway

Tomorrow, the NASCAR Cup Series field will take to the 1.5-mile of Texas Motor Speedway. It’s a non-points event. However, $1,000,000 in on the line to the race winner.

Before teams rolled to the track, they rolled through the inspection line. The Team Penske No. 12 driven by Ryan Blaney as well as the Spire Motorsports No. 7 driven by Corey LaJoie failed inspection twice.

Per the rules, each team has been handed a penalty via a crew member ejection.

NASCAR Inspection Rules (Pre-Qualifying)

1 Inspection failure: No penalty, the team gets to go to the back of the inspection line and try again.

2 inspection failures: If a team fails twice, NASCAR will eject a crew member and they drop to the rear.

3 inspection failures: All of the above. They’ll also serve a pass-through penalty at the start of the race.
