Sonoma Raceway viewership numbers for NASCAR weekend; Compared to F1, Indycar, Golf, NBA and NHL
Over the weekend, NASCAR returned to Sonoma Raceway. The 1.99-mile road course saw Daniel Suarez grab his first career victory.

Saturday’s NASCAR Truck Series race at Sonoma Raceway brought 777,000 viewers on average. Earlier in the day, 247,000 tuned in for NASCAR Cup qualifying.
Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race was seen by 2,235,000 on average. The race drew a rating of 1.30.

For comparison, Sunday’s Indycar Series event at Road America was the second most-watched motorsports event bringing 1,346,000 on average. Meanwhile, the F1 race had 832,000 viewers.
Golf’s Canadian Open brought 2,775,000 viewers. Two Tampa Bay Lightning vs New York Rangers games also topped all racing action with the most watched NHL game on Saturday at 2,837,000. However, the NBA drew the most sporting fans to their television for both Golden State vs Boston games with Friday’s drawing the bigger number of 12,063,000.
