Corey Heim starts from the pole position. Sammy Smith was set to start 2nd but will drop to the rear with a penalty. Rajah Caruth moves up to the front row. 100 laps of stock car racing are up next…

ARCA Race Report

Green flag, Heim is clear at the flagstand and leads Caruth into turn one.

Lap 10, Heim leads Bret Holmes by 2 seconds.

Lap 25, Amber Balcean is in the wall while running 8th. The caution is out.

Race break #1

This caution doubles as the race break caution. Heim leads most of the field to the pit lane for the first controlled pit stop. Trouble on the stop for Heim as he’s forced to return to the pit lane. Bret Holmes is handed the race lead.

Green, Caruth pushes Sanchez clear into turn one.

Lap 40, Holmes has a run off turn two, Holmes to the lead. Heim is up to 5th after restarting 8th.

Lap 42, Sanchez dives inside of Holmes in turn three. They run side by side into turn one. Holmes gets loose off turn two, Sanchez returns to the lead.

Lap 47, Sanchez and Sammy Smith trade side drafts for the race lead, Sanchez holds the spot. Heim is closing on both of them.

Lap 50, Smith pulls alongside Sanchez once more in the battle for the lead. They trade aggressive side drafts down the back. As they slow each other down, Heim has joined the battle.

Lap 63, Heim has a run on Sanchez into turn one. He drives it deep to the bottom, slides him and clear. Sanchez crosses under him off turn two. They trade side drafts down the back and remain side by side into turn three. Heim finally clears him on the outside lane.

Race Break #2

Lap 71, the second race break caution is out. The field hits the pit lane for a controlled pit stop.

Green, Sanchez pushes Sammy Smith to the lead. Sanchez dives to the inside of Smith into turn three and Sanchez retakes the lead.

Lap 78, Corey Heim works to the outside of Smith for 2nd into turn one. He drives right by on the outside and climbs to the bumper of Sanchez.

Lap 79, Heim drives it deep to the inside and he slides Sanchez for the race lead, clear. Corey Heim returns to the lead.

Lap 86, Scott Melton is in the wall and the caution is out.

Sammy Smith hits the pit lane for a late race adjustment. 10 cars are on the lead lap.

Green, Sanchez gets shoves sideways with a push from Daniel Dye but he stays in the gas. Sanchez leads Dye off turn two.

10 to go, Corey Heim brushes the wall off turn two! He falls to 5th.

7 to go, Neim takes them three wide for 3rd. He passes them both as he charges back to the front.

4 to go, Sanchez leads Dye and Heim as they run bumper to bumper for the win.

3 to go, Sammy Smith joins the fight as the top 4 are all over each other.

2 to go, Heim works to the right rear of Dye off turn four. Heim takes 2nd away back into turn one.

1 to go, Sanchez swerves all over the front stretch. Heim looks to the inside but he loses ground, Dye takes 2nd away.
