Today, the NASCAR Cup Series unloads in Brooklyn, MI. The 2-mile oval of Michigan International Speedway is set to host the Firekeepers Casino 400.

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 45 (1-45 / 200)

Green flag, Wallace is clear into turn one with a push from Logano. They run three wide for 2nd off turn two, Logano takes 2nd away.

Lap 21, the competition caution is out. Wallace heads for the pit lane. Christopher Bell and 10 others stay out.

Green, Bell and Erik Jones run side by side into turn one. JJ Yeley gets sideways behind them. Austin Cindric is clipped and sent nose first into the outside wall. Michael McDowell, Ricky Stenhouse Jr, Kyle Busch and Aric Almirola are also collected. The caution is back out.

Green, Bell and Jones run side by side into turn one. Bell has the momentum via the outside lane off turn two.

Christopher Bell wins stage one at MIS!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 75 (46-120 / 200)

Bell leads most of the field to the pit lane. Chastain wins the race to the pit exit with two tires. Ty Gibbs and Corey LaJoie stay out.

Green flag on stage two, Chastain clears Gibbs before turn one.

Lap 57, Larson dives inside of Gibbs to take 2nd away. Larson took just two tires on the last pit stop. Larson looks inside of Chastain for the lead but loses the nose and he’s forced to lift.

Lap 72, Bell slides Larson for 2nd. Larson loses the nose, he lifts and falls to 5th.

Lap 75, Bell gets tight as Chastain takes his lane away. Hamlin drives by to take 2nd away.

Lap 80, Bell lines up the bumper of Hamlin off turn four. Hamlin has a run on Chastain into turn one. Chastain blocks the inside lane and Hamlin drives right by on the outside to take the lead.

Lap 93, Chastain pits under green from 3rd. A tire gets away from them.

Pit Penalty: Chastain will serve a pass through penalty.

Lap 95, Hamlin pits from the race lead. Bell pits a lap later. He hands the lead to Erik Jones.

Lap 98

Lap 98, Cole Custer’s left front tire is on fire! The caution is out as he heads for the pit lane.

Erik Jones and the rest of the cars who have yet to pit head for the pit lane. Hamlin cycles back to the race lead.

Green, Hamlin and Kevin Harvick run side by side into turn one. Hamlin finally clears him in turn four.

Lap 109, Noah Gragson is around and into the wall, caution.

Harvick pits from 2nd and Bell pits from 3rd. Most of the field stays out.

Green, Hamlin leads as Keseowski, Suarez and Larson run three wide for 2nd, Suarez wins that battle.

Denny Hamlin wins stage two at Michigan Speedway!

Laps: 80 (121-200 / 200)

Hamlin heads for the pit lane. Suarez and 12 others stay out.

Pit Penalty: Larson will drop to the rear after speeding on the pit lane.

Green flag on stage three, Suarez and Bell run side by side into turn one. Logano looks inside of both of them to make it a three wide battle. Suarez wins the race off turn two via the outside lane.

57 to go, Bell looks inside of Suarez in the battle for the lead. Ross Chastain closes on both of them and he shoves teammate Suarez to the lead. Chastain takes over 2nd.

44 to go, Suarez and Chastain pit under green. Chastain wins the race to the pit exit.

42 to go

42 to go, Chastain and Bell tangle off turn four! Chastain was on his right rear, Bell tried to shut the door but he was already there. Bell turns himself into the outside wall. The caution is out.

Hamlin hits the pit lane with the others who have yet to pit. Harvick stays out to take over the lead. Hamlin would have restarted 2nd but he’s been penalized.

Pit Penalty: Hamlin drops to the rear for too many men over the wall.

20 to go, Harvick leads Logano by 4.2 seconds.

18 to go, Wallace slides Logano for 2nd. Wallace is running slightly quicker than the leader.

8 to go, Ryan Blaney brushes the wall off turn two and falls from 5th to 6th, no caution.

6 to go, Suarez has a flat left front! He pits under green, no caution.
