NASCAR results from the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is on the grid in Charlotte, North Carolina for the Sparks 300. The Charlotte Roval is set to host a playoff elimination race as 12 playoff drivers come into this event and only 8 will remain at the finish.

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 20 (1-20/67)

Green flag, they run side by side into turn one, Allmendinger noses ahead and leads into turn two.

Lap 3, Daniel Hemric is off track in turn five. He has heavy left front damage as he coasts back to the pit lane under green.

Lap 10, Kris Wright is hard in the turn one wall and the caution is out.

Green, Allmendinger clears Gibbs before turn one.

Lap 15, Marco Andretti spins into the backstretch chicane, no caution.

3 to go in stage one, many cars are hitting the pit lane. They’ll stay out at the end of the stage. Landon Cassill and Justin Allgaier tangle in turn three, no caution.

Laps: 20 (21-40/67)

Allmendinger and the rest of the leader hit the pit lane. Gibbs wins the race to the pit exit but he’ll restart 9th. Gragson and Karam set the front row.

Green flag on stage two, Gragson clears Karam before turn one. They run three wide for 2nd, Creed takes that spot. Creed dives inside of Gragson into turn five, Creed to the lead.

Lap 25, Andy Lally and Brad Perez tangle in turn 8, no caution.

Lap 32, Ty Gibbs has climbed to 2nd. Creed leads by 3.5 seconds.

3 to go in stage two, most of the lead lap cars head for the pit lane.

2 to go, Creed and Gibbs head for the pit lane.

Brandon Jones stays out to win stage two on the Charlotte Roval!

The cars who skipped pitting in stage two head for the pit lane. Sheldon Creed and Ty Gibbs cycle back to the front.

Green flag on stage three, Creed is clear before turn one. Gibbs and Gragson run side by side for 2nd, Gibbs wins that battle.

23 to go, Gibbs is all over the bumper of Creed in the battle for the lead. Gibbs dives inside in turn 8. Creed leaves the inside lane open and they run side by side into the backstretch chicane, Gibbs to the lead under braking.

22 to go, Allmendinger gets into the bumper of Creed into turn 8, Creed holds the spot.

Jeb Burton spins and he collects Marco Andretti, caution.

Green, Allmendinger looks inside of Gibbs and Creed, three wide for the lead into turn one! Gibbs holds the lead into turn two as Allmendinger takes over 2nd.

Davison gets into the left rear of Herbst. Herbst has heavy fender damage.

Kaz Grala gets into Preston Pardus and the caution is back out.

Green, Gibbs leads Allmendinger into turn three.

14 to go

14 to go, Herbst spins after jumping the curbing on the backstretch chicane! No caution as he loses a ton of positions. More issues has he collects a flat left rear.

12 to go, caution for debris as Allgaier has collected sponsor signage on his nose.

Green, Gibbs leads Allmendinger. Kaz Grala, Riley Herbst, Patrick Gallagher and others tangle in turn one.

Karam says is was Gragson who was all over his bumper to cause the accident. However, Karam was already into the bumper of Creed before the spin.

Green, Gibbs clears Allmendinger once more.

5 to go, Gibbs leads Allmendinger by 0.5 seconds.

4 to go, Sage Karam spins from 3rd into turn five, no caution.

2 to go, caution for debris.

Green flag in NASCAR Overtime, Gibbs and Allmendinger run side by side into turn one. They fight for space off the corner, Allmendinger takes the lead away! Riley Herbst is in the wall behind them!

Allmendinger throws a block on Gibbs into the backstretch chicane. The caution is out as Herbst is stalled on the track.

Green, Allmendinger runs Gibbs wide off turn one! Allmendinger holds the lead. Stefan Parsons spins behind them, no caution.
