Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 75 (1-75 / 200)

Green flag, they run side by side into turn one. Yarbrough wins the race off turn two on the inside lane. Matt Cox follows him through to take 2nd away.

Lap 8, Conner Jones works to the right rear of Yarbrough. He drives by to take the lead!

Lap 10, several cars tangle and run over the banking off turn two. The caution is out.

Green, Jones and Yarbrough run side by side into turn one. Yarbrough retakes the lead via the inside lane.

Lap 22, Jones continues to work the outside lane. He works to the right rear of Yarbrough and returns to the race lead.

Lap 25

Lap 25, caution as a hood is on the race track.

Green, Yarbrough and Jones run side by side into turn one once more. Jones wins the battle via the outside lane as most of the leaders run the inside lane behind him.

Lap 40, Dexter Canipe and Katie Hettinger fight for space into turn one. Canipe bounces off the inside wall and rips the front end off. Eleven cars tangle into turn one! Dale Earnhardt Jr is able to stop just short of the accident scene and he drives off without a scratch as the crowd cheers.

Green, Connor Jones and Ryan Millington run side by side into turn one. Several laps later, Jones wins the battle on the outside lane.

Lap 60, Matt Cox works to the inside of Jones in the battle for the lead. He noses ahead at the line. Several laps later, Cox finally clears Jones to take the race lead.

Matt Cox wins stage one of the South Carolina 400!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 75 (76-150 / 200)

The entire field hits the pit lane. The field is frozen as teams make adjustments and change tires.

Green flag on stage two, Cox and Yarbrough run side by side for the lead into turn one. Cox holds the lead via the inside as Yarbrough tucks in right on his rear bumper.

Lap 85, Cox washes off the bottom lane. Yarbrough fills the hole and he return to the lead.

Lap 100, Connor Jones is dropping rapidly through the field.

Lap 120, Yarbrough works heavy lap traffic. Cox is all over his bumper.

Lap 125, Dale Earnhardt Jr has moved into the top 10.

Lap 135, Averitt Lucas spins and the caution is out.

Green, Yarbrough and Cox run side by side into turn one as they break away from 3rd place runner Carson Kvapil. Laps later, Yarbrough completes the pass to hold the lead.

Kaden Honeycutt misses the bottom while running under Mason Diaz for 4th and Honeycutt spins into turn three. Several drivers spins behind them and the caution is out!

Sam Yarbrough win stage two as it finishes under yellow!

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 50 (151-200 / 200)

The field returns to the pit lane for the final time as positions are frozen. It’s the last chance for tires and adjustements.

Green flag on the final stage, Cox and Yarbrough run side by side into turn one. Cox is clear via the outside lane.

44 to go, Queen moves Eaarnhardt Jr off the inside lane and he takes the spot away.

37 to go, 12-year-old Tristan McKee slams the inside wall after Ryan Glenski jacks him on the front stretch and the caution is out. Following the incident, Glenski parks himself.

Coming to the green, Jacob Heafner pulls out of line from 4th and he brings out a caution.

Penalty: Heafner thought he had a flat tire. The crew changed the tire but the official declared the tire wasn’t down.

Green, Yarbrough clears Cox off turn two!

36 to go, Anthony Adams is off track and the caution is out.

Green, Yarbrough is clear into turn one. Cox and Kvapil rub fenders for 2nd, Kvapil wins that battle as Cox gathers it up.

33 to go, Mason Diaz works inside of Earnhardt Jr for 5th. Diaz has charged from the back after the crash at the end of stage two.

25 to go

25 to go, Yarbrough is driving away from the rest of the field. He slices through lap traffic in a hurry.

20 to go, Diaz leans on the bumper of Kvapil and he takes 3rd away.

18 to go, Doug Barnes and Brandon Pierce tangle and the caution is out.

Green, Yarbrough and Cox rub fenders for the lead into turn one! Cox leads as Diaz takes 2nd away.

17 to go, Diaz looks inside of Cox for the lead into turn three. Cox tries to shut the door but he’s already there. They make light contact, Cox is sideways and Diaz charges through the whole field to take the race lead!

13 to go, Dale Earnhardt Jr spins Cox off turn two, caution.

Penalty: Dale Earnhardt Jr has been penalized and he’s forced the rear of the field.

Green, Diaz and Yarbrough run side by side for the lead. A lap later, Diaz gets loose on the inside but he stays in the throttle as they rub doors for the lead.

11 to go, Diaz rubs Yarbrough wide off turn two. Yarbrough nearly spins in the grass and the caution is out.

Yarbrough pulls alongside Diaz under caution. The two driver are rubbing doors under caution.

Per the rules, Yarbrough will restart 2nd as he never spun out completely. Timing goes back to the previous lap.

Green, Yarbough drives it deep to the inside in turn two. Diaz crosses under him and takes over the lead.

12 to go

12 to go, Yarbrough drives into the bumper of Diaz into turn three. Diaz spins and the caution is out.

Penalty: Yarbrough is sent to the rear.

Mason Diaz has parked his car on the front stretch. “They can tow my car off,” Diaz stated.

Green, Kvapil and Brendan Queen rub doors for the lead.

Queen wins the battle for lead. Zack Miracle and Kvapil make contact for 2nd. Miracle gets sideways and several cars are collected, caution.

Green with 9 to go, Queen and Kvapil run side by side into turn one. Queen wins the battle via the outside lane off turn two.

5 to go, Queen leads Kvapil by 1 car length.

3 to go, Dale Earnhardt Jr gets loose on the bumps under Landon Pembleton. Pembleton spins and the caution is out.

Penalty: Dale Earnhardt Jr is sent to the rear for the second time.

Green, Queen and Kvapil run even into turn one and off turn two. Queen clears him off turn four! Kvapil tucks on his bumper.

1 to go, Queen has opened the gap.
