Cody Ware has been arrested for a second time
On April 3, a woman called 9-1-1 and it led to an investigation by ICSO.
In the days that followed, Cody Ware announced he would step away from the seat of his No. 51 car in the NASCAR Cup Series. Matt Crafton stepped in to fill the seat last weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.

On April 10, Ware was arrested. NASCAR reacted by issuing an indefinite suspension.
His bond was set at $3,000. Ware was released following the initial arrest.

Second Arrest
Today, Cody Ware turned himself into the Iredell County Detention Center. He was arrested for a second time for new charges related to the same incident on April 3.
In regards to the investigation, he’s been further charged with misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury along with a summons for communicating threats.
The warrant noted the victim suffered “a displaced fracture of the base of the fifth metacarpal bone” according to the Iredell Free News.
Bond following the recent arrest is set at $5,000. Additionally, the NASCAR driver is required to wear an ankle monitor.
The 27-year-old drives for Rick Ware Racing, the NASCAR Cup Series team is owned by his father.
The driver remains suspended heading into this weekend’s event at Martinsville Speedway. Zane Smith will drive the No. 51 machine.
