On Sunday, NASCAR raced at Kansas Speedway. The race ended in drama with a fight on the pit lane.

With 66 laps to go, Noah Gragson and Ross Chastain ran three wide with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. The battle was outside the top ten.
As Chastain exited turn four, he ran wide. Gragson was left no option but to run into the outside wall. As Gragson bounced off the wall, he turned left and rubbed into the right side door of Chastain in frustration. Both drivers were able to keep rolling, no caution was thrown.
With 62 laps to go, Gragson spun with a flat tire.
Chastain has collected a list of incidents with drivers throughout the field, as recently as last week at Dover Motor Speedway. Meanwhile, Gragson has a history of throwing punches on the pit lane. The two personalities clashed…

After the race, Noah Gragson walked over to Ross Chastain’s machine on the pit lane. The initial conversation incluced many hand gestures, mainly from Gragson.
“I got tight and thought I would clear you,” Chastain told Gragson.
“But, you doored the fuck out of us man,” Gragson responded.
Gragson then grabbed Chastain by his firesuit. Chastain grabbed Gragson’s arm within a second, likely a move to prevent Gragson from throwing a punch.
Chastain was heard saying, “Stop. Stop it.”
“What the fuck’s your fucking problem,” Gragson said as he grabbed Chastain by the firesuit.
Things escalated quickly. Chastain took one step back then lunged forward, connecting with a right hand punch to Gragson’s face.
Chastain changed tunes quickly after throwing the punch saying, “You wanna go? Let’s go!”
Two men jumped in to separate the drivers. NASCAR officials then stepped in, making it four attempting to separate the drivers.
“What’s your deal dude,” Gragson said as he was tangled in a pile.
“Come on now,” Chastain responded before he was pulled away from the scene.

“I got tight off of four, for sure,” Chastain told Fox Sports.
“Noah and I have a very similar attitude on the race track. We train together, we prepare together. We know every little bit about each other.”
“Yeah, I crowded him off of four. He took a swipe at us in three then came down and grabbed a hold of me.”
Chastain added, “A very big man once told me we have a ‘no-push policy’ here at Trackhouse.”
30-year old Chastain is in his 4th year of full-time NASCAR Cup Series competition. It’s his second year with Trackhouse Racing.

“I just got fenced by the No. 1,” Noah Gragson opened.
“He took care of us at Talladega. We’re Chevrolet teammates and he didn’t work with us there.”
“Then, he fenced us here. And, I’m just over it. Nobody else has the balls to at least confront him.”
“So, if you don’t just at least grab him and do something, he’s just going to keep doing it. I’m over it. You know, it’s the second time.”
“I have respect for Justin Marks and Trackhouse and that’s why I’m not wrecking him on the race track. But, I’m ready to fight him.”
“I didn’t even get a shot in because the security guards got in the middle of it. Nobody confronts the guy, he keeps doing it.”
Gragson concluded, “I’m sick and tired of it.”
“The guy just runs into everyone,” Gragson later added to MRN.
“When you got guys like Chase Elliott telling you to go beat his ass. Everybody’s just sick and tired of him. But, nobody has the balls to go up and get him.”
“We haven’t been the fastest this year. He’s probably going to be lapping us quite a bit this year, once or twice a race is what the trend has been so far this year.”
“So yeah, two opportunities, every single race.”
“There’s no talking to the guy. … Just tired of getting used up.”
“I mean, everybody else races super hard but super respectful, and you got one douche bag in the field, that doesn’t.”
The 24-year-old Gragson is in his first full-time season of NASCAR Cup Series competition.
