NASCAR drivers release tempers during rain delay of Coca-Cola 600
Today, the NASCAR Cup Series is racing on a Monday in Concord, North Carolina. The Coca-Cola 600 was rained out on Sunday and postponed to Monday.

The field took the green flag this afternoon in NASCAR’s longest race. However, in stage two, the rain returned to the area and paused the event.
Drivers pulled to the pit lane and climbed from their cars to wait out the brief rain shower.
During the delay, Aric Almirola walked over the Bubba Wallace to discuss something that happened on the race track. As the two drivers exchanged words, Almirola shoved Wallace.
Wallace turned around and went right back to Almirola, pointing a finger in his face.
Both drivers were asked to comment on the altercation, each of them declined.
A video has surfaced showing light contact between the two drivers down the backstretch. It looked like Almirola crowded Wallace and forced him to enter high into turn three. Though, that was likely not the only on-track incident.
NASCAR security stepped between the two drivers. Ironically, it was the same guy that stepped between Noah Gragson and Ross Chastain as a punch was thrown at Kansas Speedway.

The race has since resumed. Almirola runs 14th as Wallace runs 26th.
Bubba Wallace comments
“Yeah, we’re just frustrated with how we raced each other in stage two of the Coke 600,” Bubba Wallace told Fox after the race was completed.

Aric Almirola comments
“It was early in the race, I felt like I was giving Bubba a lot of room when we were racing around each other,” Aric Almirola stated.
“When he got by me, he shot me the bird. So, I just went to go ask him why he shot me the bird.”
“He started mouthing off and cussing at me. I told him I wasn’t going to have that.”
Almirola added, “Disappointing. That’s him, I know that.”
