Trevor Bayne commented on the scene

“That’s a frustrating day as a team owner,” former NASCAR Cup Series driver Trevor Bayne stated from the Fox Sports broadcast booth.

“You see both your cars, in the sand trap. One, a potential 2nd place finisher. The conversation now is what needed to happen, out of the race cars.”

“If you’re his spotter or crew chief, you’re saying, ‘Hey! Let’s think about this.’ “

Bayne added, “Now, they load these cars up and all these guys who worked all week to prepare these cars gotta go back and unload these two race cars that are full of sand and torn up a little bit. That’s tough.”
