Race Report
Green flag, Hingorani gets the jump and he’s clear by several car lengths into turn one. Jake Wood works inside of Ankrum for 2nd but Ankrum holds him off.
Lap 2, Jesse Love is flying through the field. He’s already into the top 10 after starting at the back of the field after issues in qualifying.
Lap 6, caution as Tim Richmond has stalled on the track.
Green, Ankrum is all over the bumper of Hingorani out of turn one. Ankrum dives inside as they head for turn two, Ankrum to the lead!
Lap 14, caution as Casey Carden stalls with a flat tire.
Green, Ankrum and Hingorani run side by side out of turn one. Jesse Love has climbed all the way to 3rd. The battle for the lead is settled in turn 8, Ankrum holds the lead.
Lap 19, Dale Quarterly spins through the grass after running three wide in turn five, no caution.
Lap 22, the race break caution is out. The field is frozen as they hit the pit lane.
Green, Love gets into the bumper of Ankrum into turn one! Ankrum is off in the sand and he drops all the way to the back of the field. Jesse Love takes the lead!
15 to go
15 to go, Love leads Hingorani, Perez and Thompson. The top four run bumper to bumper as the race leader might be having a mechanical issue.
14 to go, Hingorani runs wide in turn one, Perez to 2nd.
13 to go, Perez is off the pace and he falls outside the top 5.
10 to go, Dean Thompson drives by Love as Love is suffering from a power issue.
8 to go, Hingorani leans on the bumper of Thompson into the final set of turns of the lap. Hingorani is on the outside of Thompson for the next corner, Thompson forces him wide and runs Hingorani into the grass. Higorani falls outside the top 5.
6 to go, Tyler Ankrum has sliced through the field after running off track. He’s on the bumper of Thompson for the lead.
5 to go, Ankrum works inside of Thompson in the battle for the lead. He completes the pass in turn four. From the back to the front, Ankrum leads.
1 to go, Sean Hingorani shoves Dean Thompson off track on the final lap! Hingorani was a lap down as Thompson was running 2nd! These two are teammates.
