How much did Kyle Busch sell his NASCAR team for?

In September, Kyle Busch announced he was selling his NASCAR Truck Series team. Now, the deal has officially closed.

Kyle Busch Motorsports and Rowdy Manufacturing have been sold to Spire Motorsports. The financials of the deal were not released with the September announcement.

The purchase included all trucks in the stables. All equipment was also lumped into the deal.

The facility in Mooresville was only a portion of the transaction. According to records, the property at 351 Mazeppa Road was sold to Spire for $14.5 million.

Iredell County values the property at just $7.8 million. However, that valuation doesn’t include all the property inside the buildings on the property.

The property was purchased by Spire Properties LLC. Spire Holdings is the sole member of the company.

In 2023, Kyle Busch made the move from Joe Gibbs Racing to Richard Childress Racing. That was a switch from Toyota to Chevrolet.

Due to the change, Busch was forced to change his NASCAR Truck Series operation from a Toyota backed team to a Chevy team. That piece is likely what led to the sale in late 2023.

Spire Motorsports is a Chevrolet backed team. They’ve been on a buying spree during the off-season. First, they purchased a charter for an estimated record-setting number of $40 million.
