Kyle Busch Motorsports drops lawsuit against REV Racing

KBM vs REV Racing

REV Racing is a development team. They field teams in late models, ARCA and the NASCAR Truck Series.

The team mostly fields entries for drivers in NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program. Both Kyle Larson and Bubba Wallace are former drivers from the program.

Beginning in the 2023 season, REV Racing formed an alliance with Kyle Busch Motorsports. They then launched the No. 2 truck into the NASCAR Truck Series with driver Nick Sanchez.

That alliance agreement came at the cost of $2.9 million.

In late 2023, Kyle Busch Motorsports announced it had sold their team as well as all assets to Spire Motorsports. REV Racing has since opened a technical alliance with the new Spire backed team.

In February, it was reported that KBM had opened a lawsuit against REV. They were seeking $325,000 with interest and court costs for unpaid alliance fees from the 2023 season.

Now, the lawsuit has been dropped. It’s likely an out of court settlement was reached between the two parties.

Nick Sanchez picked up his first career NASCAR Truck Series win at Daytona earlier this season.
