Well over 1,000 cars have unloaded in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The 1/4-mile bullring dirt track is hosting the Tulsa Shootout ahead of the Chili Bowl Nationals.

NASCAR driver Kyle Busch is entered in three divisions. He’s been racing many micro divisions in recent years, helping his son climb the racing ranks.
Samantha Busch would rather Brexton Busch didn’t run dirt midgets
Between Kyle Busch and his son Brexton, the family is entered in five classes during the Tulsa Shootout. Some classes are going better than others.
On Friday, the Stock Non-Wing division took to the track for their heat races. Drivers are battling for placement in the alphabet mains.
Starting positions in the heat races are set by a random draw. Passing points are in play.
Kyle Busch flips in dirt micro
With 5 laps to go, Busch was running 7th and looking to move forward. Ace Moore ran the cushion as Busch worked the inside lane.
They ran side by side off turn two. However, Moore cleared him by driving it deep into turn three. Moore was up the track slightly, Busch drove it hard to get under him.
Busch banged bars with Moore and Moore was turned sideways. Busch’s machine then drove over the left front of Moore, sending Busch into the air.
Busch was sent into a barrel roll in turn four. He flipped end over end, three times.

The safety crew came to his attention in a hurry. The driver signaled that he was ok and the crew went to looking at the car. They attempted to push him back into the race however, Busch indicated something was broken in the steering and they were forced to tow his machine off the track.
Busch now flips himself in an uphill battle with the stock non-wing car.
Flipping is nothing new for this event. It’s a rather common occurrence, despite the lack of an official flip count this year.
The Tulsa Shootout concludes on Sunday.
