Vado Speedway Park results from the $26k Wild West Shootout finale
It’s the sixth and final night of the Wild West Shootout in Vado, New Mexico. The 3/8-mile dirt track of Vado Speedway Park is set to close a week of dirt late model racing.

Main Event
Report
Green flag, Marlar heads for the cushion and he leads off turn two. Dillard holds 2nd as Pierce and Larson run side by side for 3rd.
Lap 7, Pierce looks under Dillard for 2nd. After a full lap, Pierce finally clears him via the inside lane. Marlar leads by 1 second.
Lap 11, Pierce has caught the bumper of Marlar. Marlar moves from the top to the bottom to take the lane away. They close on the tail of the field in a hurry.
Lap 13, Marlar moves back to the top. Pierce pulls even on the bottom and he takes the lead away.
Lap 17, Pierce takes it three wide through the middle as he slices lap traffic.
Lap 23, slow car, caution.
Green, Pierce leads as Stormy Scott pinches Marlar to take 2nd away. As Marlar loses the nose, Larson powers by on the outside to take 3rd away.
Lap 25, Larson builds momentum on the cushion. He drives right by Scott to take 2nd away.
Lap 30, Dillard slides Marlar for 4th.
Lap 35, Pierce has caught the tail of the field. Larson is closing fast as they both knock the cushion.
Lap 36, Larson jumps the cushion in turn three. Pierce opens the gap to 1.5 seconds.
10 to go
10 to go, Pierce is trapped behind lap cars. Larson is closing once more.
9 to go, Larson dives inside and he attempts a slider but he can’t clear him.
7 to go, Pierce jumps the cushion in turn three. Pierce has lost all his momentum, Larson closes right to his bumper and he drives into his fuel cell off turn four!
Pierce slows with a flat right rear tire! The caution is out.
It appears the tire went down just before Larson got into the back of him. That’s why Larson caught him so fast.
Green, Larson leads Marlar off turn two. He’s driving away.
