Green flag, they run side by side into turn one. Sheppard noses ahead via the outside lane off turn two.
As they return to turn one, Pierce pulls back even with him via the inside lane. Pierce slides him for the lead into turn three, Pierce takes the lead away.
Lap 5, Stormy Scott pulls even with Sheppard for 2nd. Scott takes the spot away.
Slow car, caution.
Green, Pierce leads Scott and Sheppard off turn two.
Lap 8, Shannon Babb gets into the left rear of Sheppard in the battle for 3rd. They both continue, Sheppard holds 3rd.
Lap 14, James goes for a spin, caution.
Green, Pierce leads as Sheppard knocks the cushion and takes 2nd away.
Lap 20, Pierce leads Sheppard by 2 seconds.
Lap 25, Pierce has caught the tail of the field. He remains on the cushion as he slices through lap traffic.
Larson is the car on the move. He’s glued to the bottom and charging toward the top 5 after starting 16th.
9 to go, Pierce is struggling with lap cars as they run three wide ahead of him. Pierce takes them four wide! He clears all four!
7 to go, Chase Junghans slows, caution.
Green, Pierce leads Sheppard by three car lengths off turn two. Garrett Alberson tags the wall off turn four! Spin behind them, caution.
