Justin Haley disqualified by NASCAR after COTA

NASCAR has disqualified the No. 51 after the race at Circuit of the Americas

On Sunday, NASCAR raced at Circuit of the Americas. After the race, the sanction has issued a disqualification.

Justin Haley and the No. 51 have been disqualified from the event. The cars was found not to meet the weight limit after the race.

Section 14.11.2: Vehicle Weight

Per the rules, Haley has been regulated to last place in the 39 car field. The penalty has also moved Haley from 26th in the championship standings to 31st.

The No. 51 car is fielded by Rick Ware Racing.

Ross Chastain’s car has been selected for a trip to the NASCAR R&D Center.

Justin Haley comments after COTA

“Another race down in the 51,” Justin Haley stated.

“We had a well balanced car today, unfortunately we didn’t get the car full on the last stop and had to save fuel during the final run.”

“We are bringing fast cars, and we will put it all together and execute soon. Thanks for the support.”
