Update: Katherine Legge has crashed at Rockingham Speedway. Watch the video of the crash below.
Today, the NASCAR Xfinity Series takes the green flag at Rockingham Speedway. It marks the first Xfinity race at the track since 2004.
Earlier today, the 0.94-mile track hosted a round of qualifying. With 40 cars on the entry list, two would be sent home.
Katherine Legge turned a laptime at 23.397 seconds. That was 35th overall. However, the time would not be good enough as regulars are locked into the race on points.
Rockingham Starting Lineup: April 2025 (NASCAR Xfinity Series)
Originally, Legge and Dawson Cram would be sent home before the green flag.
JJ Yeley set a qualifying lap at 23.289 seconds. That was good enough for 31st and he was scheduled to start the event.
However, there’s been a driver change. Legge will replace Yeley in the No. 53 machine for Joey Gase Motorsports with Scott Osteen.
The deal was put together between Jordan Anderson Racing and JGM. Both are Team Chevy entries.
The green flag will drop shortly at Rockingham Speedway.

Update: Katherine Legge has crashed at Rockingham Speedway
After starting at the back of the field, Katherine Legge crashed as the leaders went by to put her a lap down.
On lap 52, Legge checked up significantly into turn one. Likely aiming to let the leaders pass.
However, William Sawalich was caught off guard with how much she slowed down. He drove right into the back of her.
Legge was sent spinning and she collected Kasey Kahne. Legge is now out of the race.
Legge has at least 7 NASCAR races scheduled for the 2025 season. Those are split between the NASCAR Xfinity Series as well as the Cup Series.
