Race Report

Green flag, Power clears McLaughlin before turn one. David Malukas moves into 2nd off turn two. Malukas has a run on Power into turn three, he dives inside and Malukas takes the lead away!

Lap 4, Devlin DeFrancesco backs it into the wall, caution.

Green, Malukas leads Power into turn one.

Lap 47, Will Power runs wide with a flat right front. He slams the wall while running 2nd! The caution is out.

Malukas leads the field to the pit lane. McLaughlin wins the race to the pit exit.

Green, McLaughlin leads Malukas.

Lap 74, Newgarden has a run on Malukas off turn two. He dives inside into turn three, Newgarden to 2nd.

Lap 114, green flag pit stops are complete. Josef Newgarden cycles to the race lead!

Race leader crashes

Lap 131, Louis Foster tags the wall and spins just ahead of race leader Josef Newgarden. As Foster slides across the track, he catches Newgarden. Newgarden is upside down from the race lead! He slides to a stop on his lid and the red flag is out.

David Malukas is handed the race lead.

Pit Penalty: Race leader David Malukas is being issued a pit lane penalty and he’ll drop to 4th. McLaughlin is docked from 2nd to 5th after a pit lane violation. Pato O’Ward is handed the lead.

Green, O’Ward leads Conor Daly.

Lap 151, Daly looks to the outside of O’Ward into turn one. He has another look in turn three. O’Ward holds his off.

Lap 153, Daly has a run off turn four! Daly has a nose ahead on the outside into turn one, O’Ward lifts and Daly leads!

Lap 190, green flag pit stops are underway. O’Ward cycles out ahead of Daly.

Lap 195

Lap 195, David Malukas looks outside of Kyle Kirkwood. Malukas finds the marbles and brushes the wall. The caution is out.

Scott Dixon is now the race leader. At the time of the caution, Dixon had yet to pit and he had the entire field a lap down.

Green, Dixon leads as they run side by side for 2nd. Kirkwood wins the battle for 2nd.

McLaughlin is on the pit lane with a mechanical failure.

23 to go

23 to go, Dixon pits from the lead.

18 to go, Ferrucci leads but he’s yet to pit along with 5 others. However, Ilott and Rosenqvist might be able to make it to the end on fuel.

11 to go, Ilott now leads Rosenqvist. Rosenqvist has a run and he dives inside into turn three, Rosenqvist to the lead! Kirkwood runs 3rd, 7 seconds back.

8 to go, Rosenqvist pits from the race lead as he’s out of fuel! Ilott now leads Kirkwood by 2.2 seconds.

5 to go, Ilott heads for the pit lane as he’s out of fuel. Kirkwood leads O’Ward by 1.5 seconds.

1 to go, Kirkwood leads by 0.6 seconds.
