The NASCAR team has issued a statement after the penalty at IRP

On Friday night, Lucas Oil Raceway Park (IRP) hosted the NASCAR Truck Series. Stewart Friesen drove to a 3rd place finish after running in the lead for several laps in the closing stage of the event.
After the race, teams must pass the NASCAR inspection. The No. 52 truck driven by Stewart Friesen failed post-race tech.
NASCAR said he was too low in the front heights.
Halmar Friesen Racing Statement
The team issued the following statement on Saturday:
“The Halmar Friesen Racing team will be going to the NASCAR Appellate Board after our 3rd place disqualification in the TSport 200 race at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on July 25.”
“We believe the post race heights disqualification was caused by a part malfunction the occurred during the race by circumstances out of our control.”

Update: Appeal Ruling
The team elected to appeal the penalty. On Wednesday, the Appeals Panel elected to uphold the penalty.
“The panel agrees that the team violated Rule 14.17.3.2.1.2.A. There was a part failure that is not known if it was intentional or unintentional, resulting in failure of front ride height.”
