Driver transported after Knoxville Nationals crash (Video)

Brenham Crouch was transported in an ambulance after a crash in the Hard Knox feature

Tonight, the half-mile dirt track of Knoxville Raceway will host the finale of the Knoxville Nationals. The World of Outlaws event pays $200,000 to the winner.

On Friday night, the track was set to host the Hard Knox portion of the show. Weather pushed that feature until Saturday afternoon, just hours ahead of the finale.

On a restart, Donny Schatz slid Carson McCarl and Giovanni Scelzi. He jumped from 3rd to first with the move.

However, as they stacked up, Scelzi climbed over there right rear of McCarl. Scelzi was sent into the outside wall. He bounced off the wall and flipped across the track.

Brenham Crouch came into the scene with nowhere to go. He slammed into the side of Scelzi.

The red flag was quickly thrown and the safety team approached both drivers. Scelzi and Crouch were able to climb from their cars.

Yet, Crouch took a ride in the ambulance. He’s been transported as reported by the World of Outlaws.
