Race Report
Green flag, Brent Crews gets the jump and he’s clear down the hill into turn one. Lawless Alan takes over 2nd. Point leader Butterbean Queen is slow already, he limps to the pit lane, no caution. Alon Day also heads for the pit lane with a mechanical issue.
35 to go, Queen is being pushed behind the wall with a transmission issue. Day is back out but he’s one lap down.
32 to go, Lawless Alan is up in smoke from 2nd. Tyler Reif takes 2nd away.
25 to go, Tristan McKee to 2nd. Crews leads by 10 seconds.
Race break
23 to go, Shane Backes spins and stalls in the grass. The caution is out. This will also be the race break, the field is frozen as crews make adjustments and change tires on the pit lane.
Green, Crews gets the jump. Reif and McKee run side by side for 2nd into turn one. Reif and McKee bang fenders up the hill into turn three, Reif wins the battle.
17 to go, McKee dives inside of Reif into turn 6. He completes the pass into turn 7, McKee to 2nd.
12 to go, Crews leads McKee by 5 seconds.
10 to go, Kris Wright and Dale Quarterley bang doors and split lap traffic in the battle for 4th.
8 to go, Lavar Scott picks up a flat tire. He’s off track and in the grass. He -refires, no caution.
6 to go, Jason Kitzmiller is in the tire barrier after spinning in turn one. The caution is out.
3 to go, Brent Crews has stalled due to a mechanical failure while coasting under caution! Crews gets a push to the pit lane. Tristan McKee is handed the lead!
Green with 1 to go, McKee gets the jump but he runs wide and bounces off the wall exiting turn 7! He holds the lead but he has a tire rub. Kris Wright takes over 2nd.
