Ram selects Kaulig Racing for their NASCAR return in 2026

Kaulig Racing will enter “up to” 5 trucks in 2026; They will also continue to run Chevrolet

RAM is joining the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2026. The announcement was made in June but no team was attached to the announcement.

Ram returns to NASCAR

Today, Kaulig Racing was announced as the team that will field the trucks. They will be the only team with backing from the Stellantis manufacturer in 2026.

Kaulig will run “up-to” 5 RAM trucks in 2026. As of now, no other team will be running RAM.

Kaulig Racing currently runs Chevrolet machines for their two charter entries in the NASCAR Cup Series and they also field cars in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. They will continue to run those Chevrolet cars going forward. It’s a unique situation as the team will have backing from Chevrolet and RAM.

The team is based out of a building at the RCR campus.

Matt Kaulig comments

“This partnership represents far more than a new chapter in Kaulig Racing’s history, it’s a union of shared values,” said Matt Kaulig, owner of Kaulig Racing.

“Over the past decade, our team has built a legacy rooted in performance, integrity, and giving back to the community. To now join forces as the anchor team for Ram’s return to NASCAR is both an honor and a responsibility.”

Kaulig added, “Together, we’re ready to set a new standard on race day and in the impact we make off the track.”

Chris Rice comments

“We are proud of what the men and women of Kaulig Racing have accomplished over the past decade,” said Kaulig Racing President, Chris Rice. “Special thanks to Ty Norris for his dedication to Kaulig Racing and helping get us to the next level.”

The driver lineup for the RAM trucks have not been announced.

RAM CEO comments

“We needed a partner that truly aligns with the Ram brand and embraces our unconventional approach to NASCAR,” said Tim Kuniskis, Ram CEO. “With Kaulig Racing, we found the perfect synergy to drive our ’Last Tenth’ culture forward.”

RAM has not run in a NASCAR race since 2012.

The first NASCAR Truck Series race if the 2026 schedule is scheduled for Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 13, 2026.
