The 2025 Gateway Dirt Nationals will set attendance records

Cody Sommer: “And, I didn’t have to commit fraud or get arrested or anything in the process. So, that’s always good.”

The Gateway Dirt Nationals is an indoor dirt race. The event in Downtown St. Louis, Missouri is set to run from December 4-6th, 2025.

In 2016, Cody Sommer had the idea to take the former home of the St. Louis Rams and make a dirt track out of it. They laugh-reacted on social media and said it couldn’t be done.

Yet, they still dropped the green flag in 2016. 10 years later, it’s now the biggest dirt race in the country.

The event features dirt late models and dirt modifieds. It’s run on a temporary built 1/5-mile bullring dirt track.

And, the 2025 event is set to set an attendance record. Expect the third level of seating to be opened as dirt racing fans from all over the world pack The Dome at Americas Center.

Cody Sommer comments

“It’s definitely going to be the most ever, I can tell you that already,” Cody Sommer stated via the Dirt Parlor Podcast.

“This is rough. It’s going to be between probably 35,000 and 38,000, is my guess.”

“And, I didn’t have to commit fraud or get arrested or anything in the process. So, that’s always good. I had to throw that one in there. Sorry.”
