Taylor Gray hits NASCAR crew member on the pit lane (Video)

“I’m just glad the car is okay.”

On Saturday night, EchoPark Speedway hosted the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series event. There was an incident on the pit lane.

A tire got away from the No. 54 team of driver Taylor Gray during a stop. As the tire bounced across the front of the car, a crew member attempted to retrieve it and avoid any penalty.

At that same moment, the jack dropped. That’s the sign to the driver to launch out of the pit stall. He did, right into the side of his crew member.

Crew member Alex Morgan bounced over the hood of the car, tire in hands…

NASCAR crew member comments

“Oh, I’m fine,” Alex Morgan told CW Sports.

“I signed up for it. I was just trying to get it back. I guess I need to do a little better.”

“Not like that, not on the exit of pit road. On the entry, I’ve had a couple clips. Nothing like that before.”

The Joe Gibbs Racing crew member concluded, “I’m just glad the car is okay.”

The race is currently ongoing.
