Milwaukee Mile results from Race 1 for the NTT INDYCAR Series
Note: This race began on Saturday and concluded on Sunday due to a weather delay. Race 2 was completed before Race 1.

Race Report
Green, O’Ward and Newgarden run side-by-side for the lead! O’Ward is clear via the inside lane off turn two.
Lap 14, Felix Rosenqvist dives inside of Newgarden into turn one. Rosenqvist to 2nd.
Lap 22, Rosenqvist has a run and he dives inside of O’Ward. Rosenqvist takes the lead away.
Lap 60, Rosenqvist is trapped in the dirty air from lap traffic. O’Ward dives inside and he reclaims the race lead.
Lap 65, the caution is out due to light rain. Laps later, this has been moved to a red flag.
A day later…
We’re back on Sunday evening to complete the race. Rain remains in the area.
Green, O’Ward leads Rosenqvist. Newgarden runs three wide on the outside behind them and they bang pods.
Lap 144, David Malukas is the last car to stop as he lap stop was on lap 69. The pit cycle is complete. O’Ward now leads Lundgaard by 3.4 seconds.
Lap 151, Mick Scumacher is pinched by Dennis Hauger. They make contact and Schumacher spins. The caution is out.
O’Ward pits from the lead with the rest of the field. Malukas stays out.
Green, Malukas leads O’Ward and Power.
Lap 196, Malukas pits for the final green flag stop. He’s the last car and he cycles right back to the race lead.
Lap 200, Lundgaard drives inside of Power for 4th. Power loses the nose in dirty air, he runs wide, finds the marbles and tags the outside wall. The caution is out.
37 to go, Caio Collet bangs wheels with Newgarden. Collect bounced into the outside wall and the caution is back out.
Green with 24 to go, O’Ward has a run on the inside as McLaughlin looks to the outside. Three wide for the lead into turn one! O’Ward leads Malukas off turn two as he takes the lead away!
10 to go, O’Ward leads Malukas by 1.1 seconds.
Pato O’Ward wins at the Milwaukee Mile! Alex Palou has clinched the 2026 INDYCAR Series championship!
