Milwaukee Mile results from Race 2 of the double-header INDYCAR race weekend
Yesterday, INDYCAR dropped the green on race one of the weekend in Milwaukee, WI. However, due to rain, that race is now scheduled to concluded later today. But, the field is already re-racked and race two is set to begin.

Race Report
Green flag, Palou gets the jump and he’s clear before turn one. Newgarden to 2nd early.
Lap Lap 31, Newgarden has a run off turn four. He looks to the outside of Palou into turn one. Newgarden noses ahead but he has to lift as he runs wide off turn two. Palou holds the lead.
Lap 34, Newgarden has a run off turn two. He dives inside of Palou and Newgarden takes the lead away.
Lap 36, Romain Grosjean spins on his own off turn two and the caution is out.
Newgarden leads the field to the pit lane but it’s a slow stop for him and Palou wins the race to the pit exit.
Green, Palou leads Newagrden and Schumacher.
Lap 99, Palou is forced to take a narrow ientry into turn one as he works lap traffic. He can’t clear him and Palou loses momentum. Rinus VeeKay has a run off turn two. He looks to the inside, Palou blocks and VeeKay drives around the outside into turn three to take the lead away.
Lap 125, Palou dives inside of VeeKay. Palou reclaims the lead.
Lap 142
Lap 142, Newgarden spins off turn four in the marbles! He clips the barrier and the front wing is damaged.
Palou leads the field to the pit lane. Will Power wins the race to the pit exit. McLaughlin and Dixon stay out.
Green, Romain Grosjean spins at the launch and finds the wall. The caution is back out.
Green, McLaughlin leads as Power dives inside of Dixon for 2nd.
Lap 174, Power has a run on McLaughlin. With fresher tires he holds the bottom off turn four and takes the lead away into turn one.
Final Pit cycle
Lap 199, another pit cycle is complete. O’Ward cycles to the lead as McLaughlin trails by 1.8 seconds.
20 to go, O’Ward leads McLaughlin by 1 second. The leader is working heavy lap traffic. McLaughlin is closing fast.
10 to go, O’Ward clears lap traffic and he opens the gap back up.
Pato O’Ward wins at the Milwaukee Mile!
The field is expected to resume race one later today.
