Gray Gaulding - Talladega Superspeedway - NASCAR Cup Series - Crash Video

Gray Gaulding speeds through the Big One at Talladega (Video)

“Unless he didn’t have no brakes, I don’t know what the [expletive] was going on there.”

Gray Gaulding made his second NASCAR Cup Series start of the season at Talladega Superspeedway with the Garage 66 entry. There was a big crash down the backstretch as Ryan Blaney was turned at the front of the field.

From 39th, Gaulding drove through all of it at full speed. We weaved in and out of spinning cars like it was Days of Thunder.

This caught the attention of Kaulig Racing, “An unidentified car went flying past Ty and towards the mayhem lol.”

But, there was more to the story…

The spotter jumped on the radio, “Back it down. Back it down!”

He added, “Unless he didn’t have no brakes, I don’t know what the [expletive] was going on there.”

The team asked, “Did you have any brakes there or what?”

Gaulding responded, “No brakes! The pedal went to the floor.”

The team asked, “Did you hit anything?”

Gaulding confirmed, “I hit the left side. Everything else feels fine. I just spun through the grass.”

The driver added, “I just barely hit someone that caused me to… I was going to make it through but then someone popped out last second. I kinda throttled up to get through.”
