Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch tragically passed away earlier this year at age 41.

Before the championships, he made his NASCAR Cup Series debut with Hendrick Motorsports in 2004. He drove the No. 5 car to four races wins.

Now, the NASCAR Cup Series is set to return to Busch’s hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada. Kyle Larson, the current driver of the No. 5 car at Hendrick Motorsports is bringing the famed livery back.

And, if you take a look above the driver’s door you’ll see it reads, “Tiny Kyle” for the driver name.

Kyle Larson comments

“To me, it was important to run a Kyle Busch tribute scheme,” Kyle Larson stated.

“Because we shared the same number. And, I really looked up to him. Just from the good battles we had.”

“Even moving on to having children, watching how he coaches Brexton. Just really trying to pay attention to how he mentors his kid. And how I can related that to me children.”

“Like I mentioned before, he’s just to me, the best driver I’ve gotten to compete with in stock cars. So for me and our team to be able to honor Kyle Busch and take this scheme on our Cup car to Las Vegas in the Fall is going to be really special.”

Larson and Busch were both seen regularly together at quarter midget races with their kids.

He added, “To show what he meant to me and to the sport. Looking forward to getting out to Vegas and hopefully having a good run.”

A portion of the royalties received from all merchandise sold with this scheme will go to the Kyle & Samanthan Busch Foundation.
