Legacy Motor Club completes their three car roster for 2027
Today at Kansas Speedway, Legacy Motor Club has announced that Erik Jones will continue to drive the No. 43 Toyota Camry XSE in the NASCAR Cup Series. This is a multi-year extension.
The team roster is now set as they’ll expand to three full-time entries in 2027. Josh Berry was recently signed to drive the No. 42 Toyota Camry XSE and Riley Herbst will drive the No. 84.
Jones is currently in his 11th season of NASCAR Cup Series competition. He joined Legacy back in 2021 when the team was still called Richard Petty Motorsports.
The 30-year-old has collected three NASCAR Cup Series wins in 354 starts. His most recent win came in 2022 at Darlington Raceway.
So far in 2026, Jones has an average finish of 19.9.

“I’m excited to continue to be a part of what LEGACY MOTOR CLUB is building,” Erik Jones stated via the team release.
“I took over the No. 43 in 2021, and it’s become a big part of my career. Through every change, we continue to get better and I’m happy to be a part of that. Especially this season, I feel like we’ve hit on something and been consistent.”
Jones concluded, “I’m thankful to get the chance to continue building on that in the years to come.”

Johnson concluded, “Keeping Erik in the No. 43 for the long term was a priority for us, and we are glad to have it done.”
