Treyten Lapcevich issues a statement as he’s racing the Chad Bryant Racing machine for the final time this weekend but with help from another team
Last weekend, there were multiple fights at Martinsville Speedway during the ValleyStar Credit Union 300.
Corey Heim and Treyten Lapcevich battled for 2nd in the closing laps. Both of which used their bumpers. After the checkered flag, Lapcevich turned down into Heim into turn one and Heim climbed over his nose, crashing both cars.
Chad Bryant, the owner of Lapcevich’s car along with other crew members then found Heim at the hot dog stand after the race. Heim was punched in the face as others took swings and missed.

Treyten Lapcehich comments
“This weekend at Newport Speedway will be my final race with Chad Bryant Racing and the No. 77 Late Model Stock,” Lapcevich stated via X.
“With the Late Model Stock Drivers Championship still within reach and commitments to our partners, it was important for us to be at Newport this weekend. We’ll be running the No. 77 with support from the Rette Jones Racing camp, and my family crewing the car.”
“I want to thank Chad for making me part of his family. Over the last 2 years we’ve become really close, and Chad has always gone out of his way to make me a better racer. Lots of 4am nights, a CARS Tour win at North Wilkesboro, a South Carolina 400 victory, and many great finishes – Chad has has pushed me to be better every step of the way.”
“For now, my focus is on Newport and doing everything we can to put together a strong weekend. Updates to come regarding the remainder of my 2026 Late Model Stock season. I want to thank Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship for their continued support.”
