NASCAR opened the 2024 season with an exhibition race in Los Angeles
The Busch Clash is NASCAR’s pre-season race. It features all 36 charter cars on a 1/4-mile bullring oval built inside of the LA Coliseum.

The race was originally scheduled to run on both Saturday and Sunday with the main event taking place Sunday night. However, extreme weather was heading into the area.
Just a few hours before Saturday’s practice sessions began, NASCAR elected to move the entire show to Saturday. That hurt both attendance and tv ratings.
Additionally, Sunday’s race was set to be shown on FOX. Due to the rescheduling, it was shown via FS1.
Saturday’s event was seen by 1.511 million viewers. As expected, that’s down from previous runnings of the event.
