NASCAR drivers Ty Gibbs and Joey Logano talked at the haulers after the race
On Saturday night, the 2024 NASCAR season opened on the 1/4-mile bullring inside the LA Coliseum. The Busch Light Clash didn’t conclude without drama.

With 25 laps to go, Ty Gibbs had opened a gap to Joey Logano by 2 seconds. However, with 11 laps to go, Michael McDowell spun, setting up a late race restart.
When the green flag dropped, Ty Gibbs drove it deep into turn one. He ran Logano wide on his outside. Logano dropped from 2nd to 6th. Gibbs also struggled off the corner, handing the race lead to Hamlin.
The night went from bad to worse for Gibbs. On the final lap of the race, he was turned with help from the front bumper of Kyle Larson.
Denny Hamlin drove it to victory lane.
After the race, Logano wasn’t having it. He walked over to the hauler of the No. 54 team to have a conversation.

Ty Gibbs comments on the contact with Joey Logano
“He’s just mad that I ran him up,” Ty Gibbs told Bob Pockrass after the race.
“But, if you look at the replay, the No. 12 kinda chucks him out of the way. It’s hard racing at the end.”
“I just got in there deep and washed into him. He just came over and said that to me in a bunch of different words.”

Joey Logano comments
“He just used me up, all the way to the wall,” Joey Logano stated.
“There’s a fine line of kinda pushing each other up a little bit, for a win. And using me up with history that he has with me.
Logano added, “Not a good idea for him.”
Gibbs retaliated on Logano at Martinsville Speedway just a few months ago.
