NASCAR race results from the LA Coliseum in California
The 2024 NASCAR season is set to begin with an exhibition race in Los Angeles, California. The 1/4-mile track inside the LA Coliseum is set to host the Busch Light Clash for the NASCAR Cup Series. This race was originally scheduled for Sunday but weather has pushed it forward to Saturday night.

Race Report
Green flag, Logano clears Hamlin via the outside lane. Logano washes up the track and Hamlin fills the inside lane yet again.
Lap 3, Logano runs wide into the corner, Hamlin takes the lead away. Ty Gibbs follows him through to move into 2nd.
Lap 49, Hamlin works heavy lap traffic. Gibbs works inside of him and the No. 54 takes the lead away.
Logano takes 2nd away. Kyle Busch doors Hamlin, Busch to 3rd.
Lap 71, Todd Gilliland spins under braking he bakes it into the wall, caution.
Green, Logano pinches Gibbs into turn one and Busch leans on his rear bumper. He runs wide, Logano leads Busch off turn two.
Lap 75, John Hunter Nemechek spins and the caution is back out.
Green with 1 to go before the race break, Logano runs Busch wide off turn two. They form three wide for 2nd into turn three. Larson takes 2nd away!

Lap 78, Alex Bowman shoves Tyler Reddick into Bubba Wallace. Ross Chastain and Corey LaJoie are collected, caution.
Green, McDowell dives under Stenhouse Jr and Ross Chastain spins, caution. McDowell and Stenhouse bang doors under the yellow.
Penalty: Tyler Reddick will drop to the rear for a restart violation. He pulled out of line too soon.

Lap 82, Larson leans on the bumper of Logano in the battle for 2nd. Logano holds him off for now as Ty Gibbs is driving away.

25 to go, the leaders slice through lap traffic. Gibbs leads Logano by 1 second.
14 to go, Justin Haley pulls off the track, no caution.
11 to go, Michael McDowell is around after Chastain bounces off the wall on his outside, caution.
Green, Gibbs leans on Logano in turn one. Logano runs wide and falls to 6th. Hamlin works under both of them! Hamlin leads Gibbs into turn three.
7 to go, Gibbs leans on the bumper of Hamlin. Hamlin holds him off for now.
4 to go, Gibbs overdrives corner entry and runs wide. Kyle Busch works under him and Busch takes 2nd away.
