Words of Wisdom from Tri-City Speedway

Tri-City Speedway Offers Words of Wisdom to Dirt Track Racers

Tri-City Speedway posted a letter to the dirt track racers out there. The enlightening letter was written by an anonymous author signed, Dirt Track Confidential. Read the note to the dirt drivers below.

3 things I have learned from dirt racing that I think everybody should understand:

1) You never “don’t have enough time” to take that picture. No matter how bad that race ended, how tired you are, if you have to get loaded up and head home, you got beat on the last corner, you can take it. It means a lot to someone, so do it!

2) To that kid, you’re his/her Dale Earnhardt. May be a local hometown dirt race, but it doesn’t matter to that kid. They idolize you. Say hi, give high-fives, take a minute to talk when they come by!

3) Dirt track racing will teach you how to be humble. You may have won Friday night, but Saturday night you may be loading up in pieces after taking down the fence. Don’t get on a pedestal and put yourself above anybody. Racing will teach you how to appreciate the ups, learn from the downs, and ultimately be happy with a flat line.

Goodnight all.
