Lucas Oil Dirt Series officials are rushing through the program more than usual tonight. Rain is expected to arrive round 10PM.

Heat 1 – Report
Deer Creek Speedway

Chad Simpson and Dennis Erb Jr will lead the field to the start in the first heat race of the night. Green, Simpson wins the race off turn 2 on the bottom and carries Davenport with him to 2nd.

Sheppard runs wide in turn 2, he tags the wall. Sheppard is slow down the back and the caution is out.

Green, Simpson leads by a car length into turn 1. Simpson holds on to win the first heat race of the night.

Heat 2 – Report
Deer Creek Speedway

Scott Ward and Darrell Lanigan trail the pace truck in heat race number two. Green, Lanigan leads by a nose at the line.

He wins the battle on the outside in turn 1.

Ward is looking for a way around Lanigan in turn 3. He gets crossed up and Owens drives by to take 2nd.

Owens is running down Lanigan. He looks to the outside of turn 4. He’s got a run but he only has a few inches on the right rear of Lanigan. The leader leaves him just enough room as Owens fills the hole.

Owens completes the pass on the outside in turn 1, new leader. Owens drives away to win heat race number two!

Heat 3 – Report
Deer Creek Speedway

Bobby Pierce and Jimmy Mars set row one in heat race number three. Green, Mars punches the gas from way up the hill. He comes to the line even with Pierce but with much more speed.

Mars noses ahead of Pierce in turn 1 but the battle isn’t over. Pierce drives it deep on the bottom in turn 3, he inches ahead through the center of the corner. But, Mars is coming around the top. Mars powers by as Pierce comes off turn 4 and slides behind the rear bumper of Mars.

Jimmy Mars begins to drive away.

Pierce makes a late race charge to take over the top spot, not enough. Mars wins heat 3!

Heat 4 – Report
Deer Creek Speedway

Earl Pearson Jr and Scott Bloomquist line up on the front row in the fourth and final heat race of the night. Green, Pearson gets the jump as Bloomquist is sideways at the line.  Pearson leads out of turn 2.

Hudson Neal looks to the inside of Bloomquist in turn 3. But, Bloomquist has a run off the corner. He takes it to the middle down the front stretch between Pearson and O’Neal. O’Neal backs out going back into turn 1.

Bloomquist is under Pearson in turn 1. Pearson carries the momentum off the high side of the race track. He powers by Bloomquist down the back stretch.

Inch by inch, Pearson begins to drive away. He wins the fourth and final heat race if the night.

B Main 1 – Report
Deer Creek Speedway

Ricky Weiss wins b main number 1. Brandon Sheppard drove up to 3rd, claiming the final transfer spot.

B Main 2 – Report

Zeigler wins the race into turn 1. McCreadie comes off turn 2 on his bumper.

McCreadie drives it to the bottom and clears him by 20 feet into turn 3. It’s a massive slider but Zeigler crosses him on the exit. Zeigler slides him back into turn 1. Zeigler reclaims the leads.

Caution, flat tire for the B1.

Green, Zeigler is clear by 3 off turn 2. They both run inches from the wall through turns 1 and 2.

McCreadie narrows the gap to the leader. Zeigler wins it by a car length.

Main Event – Report
Deer Creek Speedway

They did a little bit of farming ahead of the main event. A little water and some equipment to work it back in.

Chad Simpson and Jimmy Mars will lead them to the start. 50 laps from now somebody will be handed a $12,000 check. A four wide salute for the Minnesota dirt track fans and we’re off!

Green flag, Mars runs wide in turn 2. Simpson to the lead. False start.

Green, Mars gets a better jump. He also maintains the grip off turn 2. Mars takes the lead.

Lap 6, slow car on track. The caution is out.

Green, Simpson dives to the bottom. He nearly clears Mars but has to leave the lane open on the high side. Mars holds the lead off turn 2.

Lap 19, the leaders race through lap traffic. Simpson dives to the bottom in turn 1. He takes the lead as Mars crosses under him down the back.

Mars returns the slider in turn 3. Simpson cross under him off turn 4. Simpson dives to the bottom again back in turn 1. Chad Simpson takes the lead!

Lap 25, Davenport is coming. He started 5th and he’s now working on Mars for 2nd. Simpson leads both of them by 10.

Lap 29, Zeigler is slow on track. The caution is back out.

Green, Mars fades on the launch. Davenport is looking for the lead. Davenport slides Simpson. Simpson slides him back in turn 3. They swap again. Once more.

Simpson drove it way too deep to make that last one work in turn 3. He lost all his momentum off turn 4. Pierce runs him down and takes over 2nd in turn 1.

10 to go, Davenport leads Pierce by 10 car lengths.

6 to go, Davenport runs right against the wall. Pierce does as well. The lapper of Sheppard runs right in front of them in the same lane.

Davenport tags the wall in turn 2. Pierce has a run down the back. He dives to the bottom in turn 3. He didnt quite clear him. Davenport holds the lead off turn 4.

Davenport runs about two feet off the wall. He’s moved down a bit to avoid the wall. Pierce is still inches from the wall, catching the edge of the moisture. Pierce is right on his bumper but there’s lap cars blocking the bottom lane.

1 to go, Pierce is all over the back bumper f Davenport off turn 2.

Pierce cuts it to the bottom in turn 3 and drives it well off into the corner. He clears him!

Pierce runs wide off turn 4, he gets into the wall! Davenport cuts under him. They race side by side to the line!

Tomorrow night the dirt late model drivers will return to I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE for the Go 50 event. Next week, the LOLMDS heads to the famed Lucas Oil Speedway for the Show-Me 100 weekend.
