Starting tonight, the World of Outlaws iRacing Series is set to run weekly
The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series was scheduled to run the next 9 races in the state of California. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, 5 of those events have been canceled and the other 4 are postponed.
The WoO Sprints are tentatively scheduled to resume on April 24th, 2020 in the state of New Mexico.
So, what are the avid dirt racers and fans suppose to do until then?
The World of Outlaws are set to host the first on many online races. That action will begin tonight.
The All-Star lineup include NASCAR stars Christopher Bell and Chase Briscoe. Additionally, NHRA Funny Car champion Ron Capps will be in the field. Of course, WoO stars like Carson Macedo, Logan Schuchart, Aaron Reutzel and Lance Dewease will also sit in their sim cockpits.
The session will be run in full-format. Hot laps, qualifying, heat races, lcq’s and a feature race.
NASCAR’s version of their iRacing Series featured fixed setups, every driver in the field ran the same setup. The Outlaws will do it a bit different, allowing drivers to tune their setups ahead of the race.
