Chase Elliott going after the $100k Kyle Busch bounty
Kevin Harvick is tired of seeing Kyle Busch win in the support divisions.
Back in February, Harvick jumped on twitter and encouraged NASCAR Cup Series drivers to enter a truck event. Any NASCAR Cup Series driver that beats Kyle Busch in a Truck race, will be given $50,000.
Marcus Lemonis, the CEO of Gander Outdoors and RV doubled it. That increased the bounty to $100k.
Chase Elliott was scheduled to run the Truck Race at Atlanta in March. It was postponed. Now, Chase Elliott is in the field this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The rules are, Kyle Busch has to be running at the end of the race. And, you can’t crash him to win.
Elliott has made 12 total NASCAR Truck Series starts in 2013, 2016 and most recently in 2017. He has two wins and ten top-10s.

How they set the lineup for the truck race
There’s not practice or qualifying sessions for tonight’s event. The field has been set by random draw.
Positions 1 -10: The first 10 NGROTS Teams in owner points drew for positions 1-10. NASCAR officials drew the positions.
Positions 11 – 21: The next 11 NGROTS Teams in owner points drew for positions 11-21.
Positions 22 – 32: The next 11 NGROTS Teams in owner points drew for positions 22-32.
33-40: NASCAR increased the NASCAR Truck Series field due to the lack of qualifying. Thus, more teams are starting the event. 33-40 were also set by random draw.
