World of Outlaws Late Model Series results from Davenport Speedway
Same location, new track. The series is set for the final night at Davenport Speedway. This time, they’ll run the much larger half-mile oval.

Last night was a wild one on the bullring 1/3-mile. Brandon Sheppard was declared the winner by 0.007 seconds!
Tonight, Sheppard looks to defend on a very different race track. 33 cars have unloaded in Iowa.
Frank Heckenast Jr and Ashton Winger set the front row for the main event. 40 laps of dirt late model action is up next…
Davenport
Main – Report
Green flag, Heckenast Jr is clear at the flagstand. Winger gets loose off turn two and Pierce moves to 2nd.
Lap 3, Sheppard is working the cushion as most of the field works the bottom. Sheppard pulls even with Pierce and Sheppard takes 2nd.
Lap 4, Sheppard closes to the bumper of Heckenast Jr for the lead. Sheppard powers to the lead. Pierce has moved to the top. Following Sheppard, Pierce rolls by Heckenast Jr as well.
Lap 7, Pierce jumps the cushion in turn one! He makes light contact with the outside wall and he collects damage on the right rear of the spoiler.
Lap 10, Boom Briggs has a flat right rear and the caution is out.
Ricky Thornton Jr had climbed from 17th to 10th. He heads to the pit area under this yellow.
Green, Sheppard leads Pierce on the cushion into turn one.
Scott Bloomquist slows into turn one as the nose folds under the front suspension. Darrell Lanigan gets turned as he checks up and multiple cars are collected.
Bloomquist and many others head for the pit lane.
Green, Sheppard leads as Heckenast Jr runs side by side with Pierce for 2nd. Pierce wins that battle and Madden moves to 3rd.
Lap 15, Madden slips off the corner as the front two break away.
Lap 17, Sheppard works lap traffic. Pierce has climbed to within two car lengths.
Lap 19, Boom Briggs is slow and the caution is back out.
Green, Sheppard leads Pierce.
Halfway
Lap 22, Ashton Winger is slow and the caution is out.
Green, Sheppard leads. Pierce runs wide over the cushion off turn two but he holds onto 2nd into turn three.
Lap 27, caution for debris.
Green, Sheppard leads. Madden moves to 2nd into turn one. Mars takes away 3rd as Pierce gets a slow restart.
10 to go, Mars and Madden run side by side for 2nd. Mars takes that spot on the bottom. The highside has dominated this race, it might be going away.
5 to go, Sheppard is driving off into the distance.
