NASCAR race car sold at auction

This car was sold in auction over the weekend at a steal of a price!

David Ragan is a NASCAR Cup Series driver. One of his rides rolled across the auction block over the weekend.

The car is the No. 38 Shriners Hospitals for Children Ford. It was raced during the 2019 NCS season.

This is chassis no. 655 from Front Row Motorsports. It’s a speedway car, setup to run intermediate ovals on the NASCAR schedule.

The machine isn’t fitted with a current NCS spec engine. Instead, it came with a 351/400 HP Ford Performance engine.

Other listing notes: Jericho 4-speed transmission, Brembo disc brakes, 18 gallon Fuel Safe fuel cell, David Joie of Seating SFI Certified seats and a 6-point racing harness.

Ragan ran full-time in the sports from 2007-2019. He’s entered 471 races and collected two race wins along the way.

After 2019, Ragan announced a retirement from full-time competition. The driver made only 1 start in the 2020 season, cruising to 4th in the famed Daytona 500.

The car was sold over the weekend in the Mecum Auto Action with no reserve at the Kansas City show. It fetched just $21,500.
